This week has been a very fun week. ok, let me start with friday.... I stayed over at Wei Sern's place in clayton and I had the pleasure of tasting a dish I really miss... BAK KUT TEH! yup, his housemates cooks up some authentic (close enough) BKT. delicious!
Saturday we started of early to a place just at the border of Vic and NSW for a friendly game of PAINTBALL! hehe....3 hours in a bus can really be torture if not for the company. The game was intense. The first 2 rounds were defend and attack the fort type of game play. They actually had small wooden fort for you to defend and trenches around it! some of the people finished their first 100 paintballs in just 15 minutes. Oooo when they say it hurts when one hits you, believe them. I got hit in the side of my head by one and it stings. The best game play we had was the last one where it was a free for all. So we had the ref shouting GO! and you go get into a safe position and when the whistle blowed you just go out with all your guns blazing. Casulties were unavoidable. I was one of them....That was my weekend.

monday was labour day for Australia and Jeremy invited me to go with him and Billy to Torquay (an hours drive away from the city) to go surfing. I jumped at the opportunity. to cut the long story short, we had a blast in the water with our wet suits on. The only thing that was a bit of a let down were the waves. We had only baby ones. Not that i'm asking for any 15 footers :P yup and we jumped off a small rock :) BANZAI!!!!

I really thank God for all these things to experience here in Australia. but even if i don't get to experience it, I have the greatest experience of all, the love of a great God! no matter how life turns out He is truly my hearts desire. God Thank you.......

how time flies..... it's already been a month since i touched down at tullamarine. There were ups and downs (emotionally) throughout thise few weeks. Feelings of homesick whenever i hear my family's voices and of close friends. What i find amazing is that at this times God has been ultimately faithful in every aspect of life. What an awesome God we serve that is not too busy with the cosmic responsibilities that He would still care for the smallest things in our lives. God I give you all the glory! How can you love such an imperfect and ungrateful people that are so insignificant. Yet in these revelations, the greatest revelation is this 'We are treasured, we are significant, we have purpose, we have destiny, and far above all, we are loved...' Jesus is the testimony of that. He was and is and is to come....

Finally! got connected back to the World Wide Web. it's been 1 and a half weeks now. it was good that i had other things to do or else it would have been a very boring time.
Moving into my new place was really a snap with no hassle thanks to a God send friend (Jeremy this is for you) and Brody's chariot :) Thank you Jesus! i can't begin to really grasp His awesome love and faithfulness. Every concern He has taken care of from an ensuite room to facilities to a really secure place to stay. I'm so amazed at His love for the world. Ps Matt shared this "for God so loved the world that He send the only thing that He loved more, His son..."

This few days have been very eventful for me. God has been providing endlessly for everything; from meeting Andrew, Soph, and Jeremy to providing great accommodation prospects. All Glory to God!
One thing that really made me LOL was Wei Sern's dilemma in choosing an English name for himself. Why? cause it's easier to introduce himself to people here. Options? well, 2 thatcame to mind were Vincent (or Vince) and Daniel. I liked daniel. Kind of a friendlier name. Anyways, when we were house hunting (for meself) yesterday I introduced him to the landlord has Vince (I was on the verge of bursting out in laughter). It's hard to call someone you have known for so long as someone else. get what i mean? like of i started adressing Ee Khai as Romeo Liew. see... I got some of you'll going already. or Ricky Liew....actually i think Nicholas Liew would be nice. hehe...... later

after a long and unforgiving 8 hours flight we have finally touched down and settled in nicely to our new surroundings which we will call home for the next 12 months or more. firstly i would really, really have to give Jesus all the glory for His love in my life. what an awesome and glorious God we serve. simply in awe........
what would we be if not for our parents who dun only bring us about in this world but also see us through times. The family is truly God's support system (this includes sibblings who annoy :P but who are tremendous joy to be around); and not forgetting mah mah (pun intended).
2 all my macha's back home, you'll dun only rock! but also asteroid! (in MY dictionary)
okok enough sentiments, it's time to blog (according to my brand new polo watch :)
Australia has one of the nicest skies and the weather is terrific. Sern and I walked nearly half a day and we did not even sweat (hmmm, i can use the clothes again 2mrw) We have decided to go optus on their prepaid plan and trust our cash to commonwealth. I hope to blog more cause it really is a new thing for me....got to 'think blog' now when ever i take pix (like sarah)
Oh and chichi and susu, we have you to thank for dinner last nite. Your indo mee(s) really hit the spot :)
